Friday loves

I am in love with this idea of decorating. If baby #2 is a girl--I'm pretty sure I'll be putting these adorable butterflies in her room!

I am also in love with this flower wrap. I always long for a pretty gift of flowers from a certain man in my life...maybe he'll see this and be inspired.. :)

Directions:
Cut a square of kraft or decorative paper and freehand a message with acrylic craft paint. If you’re giving flowers as a hostess or birthday gift, you can also personalize the wrap with the recipient’s name.

Various Valentines

I think this would be so sweet to make for your sweetheart and fill with reasons why you love that person or you could exchange love letters to each other--whatever you want!

I love this idea of a Valentine's countdown--although you could probably do the same thing with a full box of chocolates and just stick the papers underneath each one with instructions to eat one a day until Valentine's Day. :)
I love flowers. Roses are so expensive at Valentine's day...but wouldn't this also be a lovely gift from your sweetheart?
This could be a fun and easy gift to give the love of your life--or you could turn it into a countdown as well and leave them one a day!

Fiery Flower Fireworks

Because I was in the midst of moving, I never really got around to posting about all the fun fourth of July things I had been seeing. So...even though it's late, I am going to do that now. Maybe you could extend your celebrations, or maybe you can save these ideas for next year!
First off, I love this centerpiece--so fun as a fireworks display on your table! Or it could just be a fun floral display if you didn't want it to look like fireworks. Click here for instructions!

Tulip Love

single blooms bouquets :: yellow centerpieces

I found this beautiful floral arrangement from At Home with Kim Vallee through Gordon Gossip. I can't wait to have a yard to plant flowers in! I love tulips, and it will be so fun to bring them inside!

Freshly Picked

Oh how I love flowers! I have been longing for the day when I can have a flower garden and then bring fresh flowers into my home all the time! I love this idea of having flowers as a party favor found from postcards and pretties.

there is something about farmer's market flowers wrapped in paper that make me want to run home and arrange them in my favorite vase. i love this idea for a casual outdoor wedding - offer your guest mini farmer market bouquet to take home as favors. display them in baskets or tin pails with a sign to remind guest's to take a bouquet home.

here's my little tutorial to create these cone-shaped bouquets.

{material}
kraft, butcher, newspaper, waxed tissue paper
water picks
fresh cut flowers
ribbon

{directions}
spread the paper out flat in front of you and position it so it is a straight square.

gather the flowers into a small bouquet with your hands. Cut the ends to the same length and insert into a water pick.

place the bundle of flowers onto the tissue paper in a diagonal position across the middle of the paper.

roll the paper with the flowers in it, starting at the flower’s corner. Roll the paper from the lower left corner to the upper right corner. This will create a cone-like wrap for the flowers.

tie a pretty ribbon around the cone bouquet to hold it together.

voila!
